Carl Barton, Jr. Park
Carl Barton, Jr. Park was developed in 1999 with Phase I & II and was named after a former Mayor for The City of Conroe, which serviced from 1979 to 1989. Phase III was completed in 2000 making this facility the biggest in The City of Conroe with 201 acres. This park is not only used for soccer and baseball games, but it is also very popular for reunions, birthday parties as well as picnics while fishing in the ponds.

Local city parks offer everything from athletic practice fields and play structures to swimming and fishing. There are several jogging and walking trails, picnic areas, party pavilions with gazebos, and much more.

Lake Conroe
Lake Conroe is located near Barton Woods (via IH-45). Extending 21 miles in length and covering 21,000 surface acres, Lake Conroe offers clean, clear water for a large variety of recreation including boating, fishing, hunting, golfing, swimming, water skiing, jet skiing, pleasure boating, and much more. Waterfront boat storage with valet launching and Barton Woods picturesque shores and wooded terrain surrounding the lake are only a few of the attractions to this exceptional man-made lake only 60 minutes north from Houston.
